HOUSTON – The University of St. Thomas Athletics Department had 22 student-athletes recognized on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Winter 2025-26 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
The SCAC Winter Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain a minimum 3.25 grade-point average during the term while serving as a regular member of a varsity team sponsored by the conference.
The Celts' honorees represented men's basketball, women's basketball, and men's and women's swimming & diving programs.
Men's Basketball led the way with five selections: Luke Coughran, Daniel Canul, Omar Gayle, John Paul Olivarez, and Garrett Rodgers.
Women's Basketball placed eight student-athletes on the honor roll, including Nora Aigberadion, Yasmine Aly, Kayla Barnett, Amyia Bowie, Branasia Brazelton, Kenna Gibson, Jaydia Morris, and Macie Whitfield.
The Men's Swimming & Diving team earned five selections with Lucas Blado, Oscar Mayorga, Tanner McKay, Oliver Spencer, and Charles Wallace receiving recognition.
Women's Swimming & Diving added four honorees, including Valentina Garcia, AJ Kennel, Emely Lopez, and Ava Verret.
Since the Academic Honor Roll's inception in 1997, more than 38,800 SCAC student-athletes have been recognized for their achievements in the classroom.
The 22 honorees continue to demonstrate the University of St. Thomas Athletics Department's commitment to excellence both academically and athletically.
