COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The University of St. Thomas women's tennis team continued its strong conference run with a 6-1 victory over LeTourneau University at a neutral site in Colorado Springs. The Celts improve to 5-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
UST dominated doubles competition, sweeping all three matches to secure the opening point. Mariel Herrera and Marlie McArthur led the way with a 6-3 win at No. 1, while Aimee Tran and Adriana Iturralde followed with a 6-1 victory. Ella Mullins and Nataly Velasco capped off the sweep with a 6-0 performance.
In singles, the Celts continued their momentum, winning five of six matches. Ella Mullins battled through a three-set thriller at No. 1, earning a 6-1, 3-6, 10-8 victory. Mariel Herrera delivered a dominant 6-4, 6-1 win, while Adriana Iturralde secured a 6-2, 7-5 victory. Marlie McArthur added another strong performance with a 6-1, 6-3 win, and Hannah Snyder closed out the lineup with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory.
Nataly Velasco competed in a tightly contested match at No. 3 but came up just short in a third-set tiebreaker.
