COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The University of St. Thomas men's tennis team staged an impressive comeback to defeat LeTourneau University 4-3 in conference play at a neutral site in Colorado Springs. The Celts improve to 4-5 overall and 4-3 in conference competition.
In doubles play, St. Thomas battled but was unable to secure the point as LeTourneau claimed all three matches to take the early advantage.
The Celts responded in singles with a strong showing, winning four matches to clinch the team victory. Ricardo Moolchan highlighted the comeback with a hard-fought three-set win, rallying to take the match 6-7, 6-3, 10-2. Wilson Salazar delivered a steady 6-3, 6-3 victory, while Pooya Tork battled through a tight contest to win 6-4, 4-6, 10-8. Gavin Simpson added the deciding point with a dominant 6-3, 6-0 performance.
Raja Pandya and Sawyer White dropped their matches at the top of the lineup as the Celts fought back from an early deficit to secure the win.
