Head coach Hanna Huston said day two is always a little tougher, but the team stepped up, raced well and was better on the details.
Chase Starcich put together strong swims in the 200 breast and 200 IM. Levi Del Angel had a great day, finishing third overall in the 100 fly, behind only two Division I swimmers, and sixth overall in the 200 free. Carly Weeks also had a solid day, turning in a strong 50 free and a great leg on the 400 free relay.
Huston was happy with the team's first meet of the season overall, noting there is plenty of work left to do, but the Celts have time.
"Good first weekend of racing," Huston said. "We saw some progress from day one to day two, especially in the little details. There's still a lot to clean up, but we're in a good spot for this point in the season."
