ABELINE, TX – Women's Tennis team continued to impress on Day 2 of the ITA Regional Tournament hosted by Hardin-Simmons, advancing multiple players deep into both singles and doubles draws.

Singles
In Draw A, Lucia Rodriguez extended her strong run with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the Round of 32. She followed that up with a composed 7-5, 6-2 victory over UMHB in the semifinals. Rodriguez will compete in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
In Draw B, Marlie McArthur had a standout performance, opening with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win before capturing back-to-back victories to reach the Sweet 16. She will compete in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
Aimee Tran also made a strong start in Draw B, winning her opening match 6-1, 6-2 before falling to East Texas Baptist in the second round.
Hannah Snyder and Nataly Velasco each won their opening matches to advance to the Sweet 16, where they faced each other in an all-Celt battle. After a tightly contested match, Velasco came out on top 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 to earn a spot in the quarterfinals.
Doubles
In Draw A doubles, the duo of Lucia Rodriguez and Mariel Herrera opened with an 8-3 victory in the Round of 32, then followed up with an 8-2 win over East Texas Baptist to advance to the quarterfinals. They will face Trinity tomorrow.
In Draw B doubles, Adriana Iturralde and Aimee Tran opened with an 8-1 win over Howard Payne before building momentum with two more victories, advancing to the semifinals.
Teammates Nataly Velasco and Hannah Snyder mirrored their success, defeating LeTourneau 8-3 and Schreiner 8-5 to also reach the semifinals.
