HOUSTON – For the second time in the last three years, University of St. Thomas Softball is heading to the NCAA Division III Championship. UST will travel to Marshall, Texas for the regional round, competing in a four-team double elimination pod hosted by nationally-ranked East Texas Baptist University. The Celts will open postseason play on Thursday May 15 at 1:30 PM against Belhaven University (31-7), who earned the Collegiate Conference of the South's AQ bid. The matchup marks a rematch of previous NCAA action, with the all-time tournament series between UST and Belhaven tied at 2-2.

The winner will advance to face either host ETBU (40-3) or Marymount (VA) (32-10) in the winner's bracket semifinal. All games will be played May 15–17.

St. Thomas enters the NCAA Tournament on a 15-game win streak, including a flawless run through the SCAC Tournament to claim the program's second postseason title. This is the program's second NCAA appearance since joining Division III, showcasing the team's rise as a national contender.

The NCAA Tournament features 62 teams, with 42 automatic qualifiers and 20 at-large bids. Regional champions will advance to the super regionals on May 22–23, followed by the finals May 29–June 4 at Inspiration Field in Bloomington, Illinois, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University.
