Volleyball Falls to SAGU in Four Sets

Volleyball fell on the road to the Lions of Southwest Assemblies of God University in a four-set decision.

 

The Celts would start off strong, taking the opening set 25-23. St. Thomas and SAGU would battle for the advantage in the opening set, but two straight service aces from Emerson Sykes would push the Celts over the top.

 

Despite stealing the first set, the Celts would still have their hands full with SAGU. The Lions would jump out to a 13-3 lead in the second set, which would ultimately secure the equalizing victory. They would keep this momentum heading into the third and fourth set as St. Thomas would struggle to stop SAGU's offense. 

 

The Celts continue their non-conference road trip on Saturday as they travel to Texas Wesleyan.
