UNIONTOWN, Pa. – The University of St. Thomas basketball teams open play at the USCAA Small College National Championships on Thursday.

UST is in its first season of affiliation with the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, and both teams qualified for the USCAA Division I tournaments after enjoying record-setting seasons.

The Celt men face the Apprentice School (Va.) at 4 p.m. EDT (3 p.m. Central) at the main arena on the campus of Penn State–Fayette. The Celt women will follow at 6 p.m. EDT (5 p.m. Central) on the same court.

There will be no public gathering to watch the games on the UST campus, but the campus community is encouraged to follow the games on live video and live stats. Live streaming video for the games are pay-per-view, with Thursday's first-round games costing $7.95 to watch.
