Dr. Victoria Wagner

Dr. Wagner serves as an associate professor of psychology at the University of St. Thomas.  She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology with a focus in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Houston. While at UH, she conducted fMRI studies on athletes and adult bilingual speakers and learners focused on how experience changes individuals' auditory perception. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of scholars, teaching courses on cognition, perception, statistics, and research capstone courses. While serving at UST, Dr. Wagner was the director of the MA in Applied Sports and Performance Psychology program before its closure and chairs the Institutional Review Board. Dr. Wagner has enjoyed serving as a Freshman Symposium mentor, helping students, especially student athletes, navigate their first semester on campus. She enjoys sharing the lessons she learned running track and field for Rice University when she was part of the 2007-2009 indoor and outdoor championship teams.  

Dr. Wagner is also a mother of three budding athletes and can be found poolside or at the baseball diamond cheering on her kids.
