University of St. Thomas (Houston)

A native of Joshua, Texas Coach Wood spent last season as an assistant at Dallas College Mountain View. The Lions had their most successful season in school history, setting the school record for wins in a single season and won the first postseason game in school history. Working directly with the hitters the Mountain View offense was ranked 9th in total bases and 14th in extra base hits nationally. Before that, Wood spent 3 years at LeTourneau University. Wood was part of the staff in 2025 that earned ASC Coaching Staff of the Year as LeTourneau earned a share of the ASC regular season title for the first time in program history. Wood handled player development for the program through their work on the field and in strength and conditioning. Over the three years, LeTourneau has had 34 All-ASC selections, including a program record 17 in 2025. In his time in Longview the Yellow Jackets set school records for runs scored, home runs, RBI, extra base hits, walks, hit by pitches, stolen bases, and runs scored.
