UST found early success in doubles as the pairing of Mariel Herrera and Lucia Rodriguez dominated with a 6-1 victory. However, Concordia claimed the remaining matches to take the doubles point.
In singles competition, the Celts mounted a strong push, earning three wins. Mariel Herrera battled through a competitive match before winning by opponent retirement after taking control early. Nataly Velasco delivered a clutch performance with a 7-6, 6-4 victory, and Adriana Iturralde followed with another strong showing, winning 7-6, 6-3.
Lucia Rodriguez competed in a tightly contested match before falling after an opponent retirement scenario, while Ella Mullins dropped her match 6-3, 6-2. Marlie McArthur rounded out the lineup with a 6-1, 6-1 loss as the Celts' comeback effort came up just short.
