HOUSTON, TX – St. Thomas men's tennis team opened its home schedule at Lee LeClear Tennis Center, falling 6-1 to Concordia University Texas. The Celts are now 2-5 overall and 2-3 in conference.
In doubles competition, St. Thomas battled across all three courts but was unable to secure the point. The No. 1 pairing of Wilson Salazar and Sawyer White fell 6-4, while Ricardo Moolchan and Pooya Tork dropped their match by the same 6-4 score at No. 2. Luis Ledezma and Raja Pandya rounded out doubles play with a 6-4 loss.
In singles action, the Celts earned one victory. Ricardo Moolchan delivered a strong performance at the No. 3 spot, securing a 6-3, 6-3 win.
Raja Pandya fell 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1, while Sawyer White dropped a competitive 6-4, 7-5 decision. Wilson Salazar was defeated 6-2, 6-3, and Michael Haranczyk battled but came up short 6-1, 7-6. Pooya Tork closed out the lineup with a 6-4, 6-4 loss.
