BELTON, TX – The University of St. Thomas Men's Tennis team kicked off competition at the Crusader Invitational on September 18, opening the weekend with strong doubles performances.
In Line C, the Celt duo of Sawyer White and Wilson Salazar delivered a solid 8-5 victory over a UMHB pair. With the win, they advance to the semifinals where they will face SCAC newcomers LeTourneau.
Line D featured Pooja York and Michael Haranczyk, who fought hard in a close 8-6 battle against Texas Lutheran. Despite the setback, they move into the consolation bracket and are set to take on Schreiner next.
Closing out the day in Line E, Gavin Simpson and Andres Mora took control of their match against East Texas Baptist, pulling away with an 8-4 win. The pair advances to face LeTourneau in tomorrow's action.
